Karen Evans, DOE Assistant Secretary for the Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response, visited Berkeley Lab on March 5. She met with Lab leadership and received an overview of the Lab’s computing sciences and cybersecurity research, including research focused on monitoring and protecting energy delivery systems, and the resiliency of connected loads such as buildings and vehicles. She also visited Shyh Wang Hall for a tour of NERSC and ESnet, and visited the Advanced Light Source. She is pictured with David Paul of NERSC.
